About the Journal
History: Türk Folklor Araştırmaları is a monthly folklore journal published between August 1949 and January 1980. The journal was founded by İhsan Hınçer and published 366 issues since then under the ownership and editorship of Hınçer. After Bora Hınçer, the last editor of the journal, transferred the re-publication rights of the journal to Metin Karadağ, the journal started to be published online again as the publication organ of the TRNC Turkish Folklore Research Association (TRNC).
Turkish Folklore Research (TFA) journal publishes original, methodological articles in the basic fields of folklore, anthropology, literature and other social sciences related to these fields in accordance with the aims, principles and scope of its establishment and publication processes.
The journal is published twice a year in January and July. The language of DOI-registered articles in TFA, which is an open access journal with double-blind referee system, is Turkish and English. Manuscripts edited according to the rules and principles of the journal are submitted through the Article Tracking System on the journal website.
