Turkish Folklore Research Journal (TFA) was founded by İhsan Hınçer in 1949 and closed with the 366th issue dated January 1980; in May 2023, the founder's heir, Mr. Bora Hınçer, the last owner and editor, transferred the re-publication rights of the journal in writing to Prof. Dr. Metin Karadağ on behalf of the Folklore Research Society Society in TRNC. The journal publishes two issues a year online. DOI-tagged articles in the open-access journal are published free of charge in a double-blind review system. TFA is an open access journal. Authors have all kinds of usage rights about their products. The management of the Society/Journal is not responsible for the articles in any way; all responsibilities belong to the authors. The author(s) of the articles requiring an Ethics Committee decision must include the required report in the manuscript submission. In the submission of the article, the authors submit a Publication Declaration Form stating that they assume all the responsibilities of the study, that it has not been published elsewhere, and that it has not been sent to other publishing organs for publication. As an open-access journal, authors own the copyrights of their products. Authors are not paid any fee. They can use their works in different places by citing TFA as a source and publishing their translations in full text.

Corrections to Accepted Papers
Each author is required to provide written approval of the final text.
TFA does not allow significant or major changes to be made to papers after acceptance. We expect authors to make any significant changes to their papers during the revision stage prior to acceptance.
Corrections to Published Works
Honest errors are part of science and publishing, and when detected, they require the publication of a correction. We expect authors to report all factual errors they notice (or are informed of) in their articles to the Editor of the journal after publication. Corrections are at the discretion of the journal.
As publishers, we are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the scientific record. Therefore, minor corrections that do not affect the scientific understanding of the article (e.g., formatting, typographical errors, or layout issues) may be rejected when submitted post-publication in order to prevent inconsistencies in later stages.
The correction procedure depends on the publication stage of the article, but in any case, a correction notice is published as soon as possible.

 Complaints and appeals

When a complaint is made about a published article, COPE principles and guidelines are applied: In addition to the published complaints archive and the methods recommended by COPE for resolving these complaints, COPE flowcharts provide a framework for journal editors to evaluate the effectiveness of their processes, and COPE's e-learning modules provide training on topics such as addressing inappropriate behaviour and conflicts of interest by reviewers. Our journal commits to adhering to the specified COPE policy regarding the handling of such cases, communicating with all parties as necessary, being informed about the process to be followed, and sharing up-to-date information.

Intellectual Property and Copyright

All principles and practices are in accordance with COPE principles and rules.
